The paintings that I am inspired to create are my personal inquiry into the art of being in the flow. They are about being present, noticing the traces of the ephemeral in the work as the intangible thought or feeling coalescences into a creative experience that I can share with others.
The plaster surfaces feature impressions of twigs, leaves, or feathers found from my walks in the woods. I am interested in the fractal patterns of nature, self referential, like a memory embedded within a memory that once impressed, its energetic imprint is captured. A brief moment in time…fossilized.

Veronica Foster has evolved her style over the many years working in the Film Industry as a Scenic Artist, and as a Decorative Artist/ Fine Artist, creating commissions for Interior Designers and their clientele. This varied experience gave her the opportunity to work with many traditional and non-traditional art materials, eventually inspiring her to work on impressed and fractured plaster surfaces for her painting series. Veronica shares her love of creating by collaborating with her commission clients and through coaching and mentoring other artists interested in expanding their own creative process.
