Tannis likes to explore familiar yet curious narratives and her paintings evoke a range of emotions from curiosity and a sense of the surreal, to introspection and sadness, to whimsy and a childlike sense of wonder. Her works begin a story in the viewer’s mind.
Coming from a food-centric family, cooking and exploring different world cuisines is another creative outlet for Tannis via both spoon and paintbrush.
Tannis studied Fine Art at college and university in Montreal and Toronto and worked as an art director/graphic designer for years. She is a member of the art collective ‘13 feet off the ground’ and the Thrive Mastermind program. Her work can be found in collections in Canada and the US.
