Andrea holds an MFA in Visual Art from Vermont College of Fine Arts (2014). In 2016 she had solo shows at Back Gallery Project and at Malaspina Printmakers in Vancouver, BC. In 2017, she completed two artist residencies, one intensive at Banff Centre and a collaborative residency with Margery Theroux at Anvil Centre. She completed another month long collaborative drawing residency, artist talk and exhibition with Margery Theroux in Port Chester, NY at Miranda Arts Project Space in 2015. She teaches for Continuing Studies at Emily Carr University of Art and Design.
Andrea’s work is created in an attempt to satisfy her own obsession with visceral responses to visual art. She attempts to access the power and the vulnerability of the feminine embodied experience, creating works for her own exploration and, equally, to engage in conversations with other works and with the body and mind of the viewer.
